Service users can request up to four kits per year. Kit requests above this threshold are controlled. If a third test kit is ordered in a six-month rolling window, the request will be denied and the person will be flagged for a call from the SHL clinical team. After they have spoken to the user, a decision will be made to reactivate the account or to ask the patient to attend a clinic for a face-to-face consultation.
